(Kosher-friendly alternative to fried catfish)

Ingredients

  • Salmon, cod, or tilapia
  • Almond flour
  • Cornmeal (if desired)
  • Paprika
  • Garlic powder
  • Onion powder
  • Lemon

Ingredients

Fish

  • 4 cod, tilapia, or salmon fillets
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

Crispy Southern Coating

  • ½ cup almond flour
  • ¼ cup cornmeal (optional)
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • ½ teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional)
  • 1 teaspoon dried parsley
  • ½ teaspoon sea salt
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

Step 1: Prepare Fish

Preheat oven to 425°F.

  1. Pat fish dry.
  2. Brush lightly with olive oil and lemon juice.

Step 2: Coat

Mix coating ingredients.

Press mixture onto fish.

Place on parchment-lined baking sheet.

Step 3: Bake

Bake:

  • Cod/Tilapia: 15–18 minutes
  • Salmon: 18–22 minutes

until golden and flaky.
